Stuffed Mushrooms
1 large container of small to medium mushrooms
1 heaping tbsp. chopped garlic
1 tsp olive oil
1 room temperature (8 oz)
package of cream cheese
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp cayenne
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
Directions
1. Remove
mushroom stems from the mushrooms. Using your fingers, crumble the stems into
small pieces and put into a frying pan.
2. Add
the olive oil, and cook on high heat. Add chopped garlic once the mushrooms
begin to give off liquid, and continue to cook until almost all the liquid is
evaporated. Cool to room temperature.
3. Mix
cooked mushrooms filling with cream cheese, spices, and parmesan cheese.
4. Fil
mushroom caps generously with the stuffing. Cook at 350 degrees until the
filling begins to brown, about 45 to 50 minutes.
Notes
Once recipe makes approximately half a sheet pan.
More garlic is never a bad thing. You will always need to make more than once
batch at a time!
